Nikki Cifelli began utilizing Pilates in her practice as a licensed physical therapist assistant to aid in the rehabilitation of her patients. It was in this setting that Nikki witnessed the extensive benefits of Pilates for healing through strengthening.
As an Ironman triathlete, Nikki understands the importance of maintaining a strong core. Having competed in numerous triathlons and marathons, Pilates has helped her improve her endurance and muscle efficiency. Through her own fitness training, she recognized the lack of fitness instructors formally educated in anatomy and, consequently, the injuries possible with improper instruction. Nikki has cultivated the advanced knowledge and skill necessary to ensure that each client receives an individualized program to reach their training goals without risk of injury.
Nikki’s certification through BASI and Pilates Institute of America (PIA), combined with her former professional practice as a licensed physical therapist assistant, brings a unique dimension to her skill. Further enhancing her practice, Nikki is a Certified Breast Cancer Rehabilitation Specialist through the Pink Ribbon Program. In pursuit of a balanced and fully engaging practice, Nikki has completed Redcord Active, Corrective and multi-suspension certification from the Neurac Institute and is a Level 3 CoreAlign Instructor through Balanced Body Pilates. She is also a member of the Pilates Method Alliance.
